As moms, Marilee and Jessica had each cleaned up their own fair share of kid spills. After eating together outside and mopping up another mess, the two friends decided to create a waterproof blanket…only way more stylish than the average, plastic picnic blanket. The two decided to create their blankets out of gorgeous, soft leather—complete with sunny and trendy designs. Completely family friendly and kid approved, Gathre is the home of the wipeable blanket! Hearty enough for outdoors, stylish enough for indoors.
As seen in Elle Canada and Dote Magazine, Chelsea King scrunchies are a must-have for every girl—no matter her age! The idea for Chelsea King was inspired by the beautifully distinguished, yet understated elegance of London’s tucked-away neighborhoods. Made with the most luxurious textiles, Chelsea King’s high-quality scrunchies are an upgrade from standard, elastic hair ties, always elevating style and complementing any outfit. Based in San Francisco, Harlow & Grey is a line of modern party goods inspired by trending fashion, graphic design, and pop culture. Their collections include unique, coordinated pieces that allow customers to entertain with ease, confidence, and style—what could be better?! Harlowe & Grey is run by creative-minded cousins Jeanne Chan (lifestyle blogger Shop Sweet Things) and Gloria Wong Tritasavit (event designer Gloria Wong Design). You may remember Leah Alexandra from our blog posts—we had the opportunity to install our Fig Trees in her office! An expert metal and goldsmith, Leah designs and creates breathtaking jewelry featured in Vogue and worn by celebrities. With a passion for travel and quality assurance, Leah flies all over the world to source genuine, semi-precious gemstones and unique materials to craft her one-of-a-kind designs.
From full-service renovations to design consultations and handcrafted products, Lotholz & Company is passionate about creating solidly built and thoughtfully designed interiors that are perfectly reflective of you, your life, and your personal aesthetic. Obviously, we love this—we are passionate about the same things! Owners—and husband and wife duo—Jeremy and Julia design, craft, and build custom elements and products that enhance your home and your life.We are passionate about companies on a mission and Pink House Organics is one of the best! Pink House is a cosmetic company that uses only natural substances to create their amazing makeup and skincare lines—no, seriously, if there’s a controversy about an ingredient, they leave it out. 100% natural, 100% of the time. Owner Tracy Olesen began Pink House alongside her sister Karen to acknowledge and honor their mother. Realizing how many chemicals are in the beauty products we use daily, the two set out to revolutionize the way we use makeup. When Karen passed away from cancer, her two daughters Tegan and Lindsey joined Tracy, and have since continued their mother’s legacy. Pink House Organics has set the beauty industry ablaze with inventive and effective products that promote health and well-being.
If you’ve been paying attention to our style boards over the years, you’ll notice a trend—we love Vancouver Candle Co. Expert candle maker and scent master Nick Rabuchin has studied the science behind fragrances to create a cult-like following for his unique and gorgeously packaged candles. Our personal favorite is the Rosedale (enter to win!) because of its light, springtime aroma.
Urbanwalls runs on coffee, and we particularly love our friends at Rupublica Coffee. Delicious and environmentally conscious, Rupublica specializes in fine single estate coffees from around the world, roasted to best exemplify their flavor profiles. What we particularly love about this shop is the unparalleled freshness—each batch is roasted to order and meticulously tested to ensure it’s just what you ordered!
The Little White House is a dream come true—no really, it’s a gorgeous house filled to the brim with whimsical, classic, feminine magic. We were lucky enough to spend the day there installing our White Blush Peonies against a wall in their café (you may remember the install—it was recently in our Instastories). Specializing in high teas complete with ornate china and a full restaurant, The Little White House also sells gorgeous clothes and home décor items. If you live in the Vancouver area (and even if you don’t!) you have to put The Little White House on your bucket list.
